On Monday, March 28th, Professor Manoucheka Celeste (University of Florida) will deliver a lecture in celebration of bell hooks. Professor Celeste's talk is titled "It’s All Love: bell hooks and the Formation of Black Diasporic Feminist Media Studies."

Please join us in Performing Arts (PA) 101—refreshments will be served at 10:30am, the lecture will begin at 10:45am and the first 15 attendees will receive a bell hooks book.

About Professor Celeste:

Manoucheka Celeste is an Associate Professor at the University of Florida in the Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research, and in the African American Studies ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥¼ä. ÌýHer recent work focuses on citizenship narratives surrounding Blackness, Black womanhood, and transnational mobility. Her book, Race, Gender, and Citizenship in the African Diaspora: Travelling Blackness, received both the National Communication Association’s Diamond Anniversary Book Award and the NCA Outstanding Book Award from the African American Communication & Culture Division and Black Caucus.
