We are thrilled to welcome new and returning Owls this week as Florida Atlantic prepares for the Fall 2023 semester with several University traditions. On the Boca Raton and Jupiter campuses, first-year �Ӱ�ֱ���� are moving into their residence halls now through Aug. 17, and transfer and returning �Ӱ�ֱ���� will join them from Aug. 17 to 19.

On Friday, Aug. 19, I look forward to officially greeting our first-year �Ӱ�ֱ���� during Florida Atlantic’s annual Freshman Convocation. This important rite of passage marks the onset of a student’s college career and their entrance into the Owl community. With about 4,300 �Ӱ�ֱ���� comprising the incoming class, I am pleased to share that this cohort is among the largest in FAU history.

Another special tradition on the Boca Raton, Jupiter and Broward campuses is FAU’s Red and Blue Weeks, a series of engaging welcome events taking place from Aug. 17 to Sept. 2. A few notable activities include a movie night on the Housing Lawn, First Saturday at FAU Stadium and meet-and-greets with various student organizations. I encourage all �Ӱ�ֱ���� to participate in these memorable events.

As a reminder, if any �Ӱ�ֱ���� need assistance navigating campus in the coming weeks, FAU employees wearing red “Need Help? Just Ask” lanyards will be happy to show you the way.
