INTERNATIONAL Symposium "italy in Transit"
An annual professional and academic meeting held in Boca Raton in winter (the best time to be in Florida). Guests share their research about Italy as a fluid space where identities cross, new encounters are shaped and creativity flourishes.
A symposium (from the Greek syn: together) because speakers commit to the whole program and listen to each other to compare ideas and venture outside their usual field. Everyone is enriched in a diverse synchronic, synergetic, sympathetic interaction.Ìý
Organized by the FAU Italian Studies ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥¼ä under the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Miami. Supported by the John D. Calandra Italian American Institute (New York), the FAU Initiative for the Study of the Americas, the Italian Cultural Institute in Miami, Sardinia Film Commission and European Union.
Proposal acceptance is ongoing (ilaria.serra@fau.edu). No registration fee. Hospitality for our guests may be available thanks to our generous local friends.Ìý
Save the date for the XI Italy in Transit: February 6, 2027.
